Hello Dual Enrollment and Early
Admission Students.
Welcome to FGCU. We’re glad to
have you with us!
As you begin the next phase of
your academic career, I’m sure you and your families will have many
questions both about the opportunities early admission and dual enrollment
offers as well as about the university itself. It is my goal to answer
those questions and in so doing, to also demonstrate why FGCU is a great
place to begin and complete your undergraduate degree.
As you probably know, FGCU is the
youngest university in the Florida State system, but while our undergraduate
enrollment increases every year, we are still small enough to offer you most
of the advantages of the larger state schools, along with most of the
advantages of a small private school. Some of these advantages include
small class sizes and personal attention from faculty and staff. At FGCU
you’re more than just a number.
The information you will find on
this site will answer many of your questions, but please feel free to
contact me any time regarding your coursework or registration.
In order to ease your transition
to university level coursework and expectations, all dual enrollment
students and all full time early admission students are required to attend
an orientation. We will schedule this date when you make your appointment
to meet with me for class scheduling.
Once again, we are so glad to
have you with us, and if there’s anything we can do to assist you at
anytime, just contact me at the email address or phone number above.
Once formally admitted, you will need to make an appointment with Kristin
Verderamo,
academic counselor in the Office of First Year Advising. Kristin may be
reached via email at kverdera@fgcu.edu or
phone at (239) 590-7898. Appointments may be scheduled by calling (239)
