  The Advising Transition

All freshmen students will work with First Year Advising for advising inquiries related to registration for their first fall and spring semester.

Freshmen students admitted in a summer or fall term are required to schedule to attend a transition workshop with a college advisor in mid February and/or early March within the Spring semester.
(Prior to February freshmen students admitted for summer and fall are advised through First Year Advising)

Freshmen students admitted in a spring term are required to schedule to attend a transition workshop with a college advisor in October within the Fall semester.
(Prior to October freshmen students admitted for Spring are advised through First Year Advising)

If a freshmen student is on academic notice and/or academic warning or if a student has not yet satisfied a remedial requirement they will continue to be advised by First Year Advising until they are no longer on academic notice and/or warning or until they have completed 24 credits.

College advisors will acclimate you to your major & advise you until graduation.
(Undecided students will be advised by a College of Arts & Sciences advisor)

Upon meeting advising transition criteria, prior to attending a required meeting with your college advisor you will have an "AV" college advising registration hold.  After meeting your college advisor this hold is removed and you will be permitted web registration via GULFLINE

* Web registration via Gulfline for students with 0-29 earned hours for the Spring 2010 semester will open October 29, 2010.

* If you have an academic notice and/or academic warning  hold you should be working to complete the 4 required Academic Retention Program meetings with the Center for Academic Achievement to gain access to future registration.

* To access opening dates for future registration review Eagle Registration information
